Hijo de Juan Pablo Vicuña P… Benjamín Vicuña Luco nació en Santiago de Chile el 29 de noviembre de 1978. Hijo de Juan Pablo Vicuña Parot e Isabel Luco Morandé. El menor de cuatro hermanos: Carolina, María José (pintora) y Juan Pablo (arquitecto). Sus padres se separaron cuando él era adolescente y su madre se volvió a casar con el millonario Oussama Aboughazale. En su infancia, Vicuña estudió en los Sagrados Corazones de Manquehue de Vitacura, donde participó en diversos talleres de teatro dictados por el actor Javier Deneken . La influencia de su hermano fue clave, ya que también estaba inscrito en los mismos talleres. A los 15 años vio por primera vez la obra teatral La Negra Ester, más tarde, indicó en una entrevista que aquel momento fue "una revelación".Al finalizar el colegio, ingresó a la carrera de teatro en la Universidad de Chile. Ahí descubrió a sus compañeros, con los que más tarde formaría "El Hijo", compañía de teatro que ha montado diversas obras, tales como El Lugar Común, Sala de Urgencias, Ifigenia, Cuec@, y La Mujer Gallina. Es en esta etapa de su vida también experimentó el "Teatro Callejero", alentado por los maestros del teatro chileno: Fernando González, Alfredo Castro, Rodrigo Pérez y Ramón Griffero, por nombrar algunos.Una vez incorporado a la escuela de teatro, dejó su hogar en el Barrio Alto de Santiago y comenzó a vivir en el "centro" de la ciudad, recorriendo los barrios del Mapocho. 详情
